Instrument Cluster, Ground Issue??

Hi, on my 73 Duster, when I honk the horn my right and left turn signals, the oil light, and the seatbelt light on the gauge cluster flicker for like a second. Would this be a ground issue? The lights will also flicker some times even when I don't press the horn, its random. The cluster grounded to the dash, through the screws right? Would adding a ground wire help solve the problem?

It wouldn't hurt. Also check the circuit board for corrosion around the mounting screws and clean as needed with some rubbing alcohol and the eraser end of a pencil.

I'll guess due to the lack of details...
Its an automactic on the column. If I'm correct the problem is somewhere in the steering column wiring. current feeding from horn circuit to the one lamp at PRNDLL maybe.
There is suppose to be a little ground wire at the column support also. It may be missing.

Hi, its an automatic, with a floor shifter. I checked, and it does have the ground wire on the column, but I don't know if it's hooked up correctly. Where is it suppose to go?

From column support bolt to support mounting stud.

I still believe the problem is in the column somewhere. Has the ignition switch been changed ?

Ok, that is how the wire is hooked up. I changed out the ignition swith about a year or so ago. I will see if can trace the horn wire, and see if maybe it shorting out somewhere. It just weird that it does it even when I don't press the horn. It's just a random thing.
