Instrument cluster swap

Hi, I was wonder if anyone could give me any advice on how the instrument cluster comes out of a 75 dart? Are there any tricks or is it just a pain in the butt? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

some screws and you need to drop the column a bit. make sure you undo the battery before you do this as well. then just carefully undo the connections.
 
I'm trying to get mine out of my '68. I dropped the steering column and all the screws are out.. my problem is that it won't come out far enough to undo the connections. Any tips or tricks??
 
The speedo cable is disconnected, where abouts is the cluster bulk connector? I can't pull it out far enough to see anything. I can barely fit a finger in behind it.
