Intake Manifold Assistance Needed

I ran across a add on e bay for a 2X4 intake manifold for a smallblock.
During reading the description the seller states the manifold only fits like 64 -65 273 engines only. I thought all LA engines werebasically the same and heads,intakes etc would interchange. I do not understand what the differences would be does anyone know.Also Do you know where to get a 2X4 intake that will work on a 340

up to 65 the intake bolts are a different angle,,and 5/16 bolts

Summit sells Offenhanuser-not spelled right-brand new. Comes in high or low raiser.

some guys have redrilled the bolt holes to fit though. i dont think it would be too difficult, but i havent done it.

Yes you can drill to fit, but they are small ports, so 360-340s will suffre on flow. they look cool though!

you can drill out,,,but the bolt wont sit flat against the intake because of the different angle,,you would have to machine intake and drill out

I think I will just shop around for one that will fit correctly.

Yes, I would. You will hurt resale value if you start dilling it.

Ow, I thought Summit prices were high-in the $300 range.

Buy from Summit, those are retail prices, maybe they had jobber prices but if not buy a Offy intake from summit
