Interior color question

I have an all original interior in my '69 fastback barracuda with white seats and a red headliner, dash pad and seat belts. I need a new headliner, seat belts and dash pad. I ordered a new red headliner from year one, it's the only red they offer, when i opened the box it was too bright of a red, doesn't come close to matching and i looked up the seat belts and dash pad and they are all the same bright red. My friend has a formula s with a factory headliner that is the same darker red that i have. Is there anywhere that sells a darker red headliner, or should i just send it back and swap over to a white headliner then try to find a vinyl paint for the dash pad? or dye the headliner to match the darker red.

Looks like 69 only had 1 red. I would double check with year one about the color.

You may need to order the stuff from another supplier or it could be that your interior had darkened over the years.

Yup. Those are different. lol

But your new headliner looks like it matches the red on your interior side panels.

Have you contacted YearOne and asked about the color?



For what it's worth the new red is very close to the red here.

Remember, the 69 stuff is 41 years old and has been subjected to years of dirt and sun exposure. And the old vinyl was not as best for color stability.
I have seen a 71 HemiCuda convert that was stored in a garage for 30 years and the red interior had severly faded.
