Intermediate Shaft Bushing

Miller Special Tools # C-3053. 1-800-801-5420 is the phone number.
Be forewarned, it's almost $100 after shipping, so I made one from an old oil pump drive and put the $100 into my engine. I would like to get one some day.

I made one from a new drive. Cut the teeth off the gear, and I cut the hex off the shaft. Works like a charm for like $25.

i used a 1/2 drive extension, and a socket,
the socket was on the extension upside down, to act as a driver.

I think i used a 5/8 socket, but it was 18+ months ago,LOL.

Oh and a 2lb "wimpy" hammer.
{My old boss most often, used a 3lb handheld sledge, and said any hammer smaller was "Wimpy"}

You definately want to make sure it's sized properly AFTER it's driven in tho. That's really what the tool and the old drvies do..they size it while it's being driven in. It's easy yot get it too tight on the new drive, and hard to "feel" it being too tight unless there is no cam in place yet.
