Anyone here ever run the ironman tires I found a good deal on some of the GR906 tires in 225 70 15 I had wanted to go with the cooper cobra tires but found these ironmans they have a rating of 440AA and T (118) speed rating vs the coopers 440ab! And they are about 60 bucks cheaper than the cobras looks like a winner to me. Just wanted to see if you guys have had any luck out of them?

I checked them out They say “entry line”. Not sure what that means but pretty sure Cobras are not considered entry line. you get what you pay for.

Yes, I would think that on a scale of Good, Better, Best, entry line are Good tires, moderate compound and would last about 20,000+ miles depending.

We sell them where I work. They are some of the least expensive tires we can get our hands on. No complaints so far, but they are workman like tires that don't cost much money. They last about as long as any other cheap tire.

When I was a kid, (back when Nixon was being a crook) doing burnouts was, we told ourselves, the best way to determine if our air pressure was in spec by the pattern we laid..:):)

Just another cheap Chinese brand of junk tire. How much do you value your car? Coopers are one of the last truly American owned tire companies and 90% of their tires are still made in three factories in the United States. They also own Mickey Thompson tires and Avon for motorcycles tough most of those are made in England. I buy Cooper for my vehicles...

I love coopers I have a set of the at3 on my truck and a set of mastercraft on my SUV (I believe master craft is made by cooper) I just need a set of cheaper tires for the roller stage of my project. I hate to spend big money on premium tires just to roll it around on. I bought used tires for the front for cheap but they are nice drivable tires. I want a set for the back once it's done and everything is broke in and all the bugs are worked out I will buy a matching set of four of something maybe coopers or bfgs. I like that muscle car looking tires. Raised white letters and the tread pattern. I had a set of cooper cobras in the back of my 72 barracuda I loved those things

Ironman Tires is single-minded in its pursuit of just one category: affordable tires. A subsidiary of Cooper Tire and Rubber’s “Hercules” sub-brand, Ironman tackles a packed segment of inexpensive rubber filled with manufacturers that have taken extreme cost-cutting measures to stay competitive.
Although inexpensive, the company can’t work miracles. The subsidiary does have to make some compromises to get their tires to market at bargain-bin prices. Nonetheless, the damage to the wallet is minimal, and the backing of parent company Cooper allows Ironman to provide better-than-expected warranties, customer support, and R&D. All of this means that if you’re looking for a new set of inexpensive tires, Ironman could be the perfect ticket.
Still made in Asia, interesting article

I picked up these as new roller tires and to burn off when the car is done, will outfit with Coopers afterwards. 225-60R15 that I got from www.tireseasy.com with free shipping. Nice aggressive tread pattern is what I liked, very similar to the Cooper Cobra Radial GTs on my truck, and in a size I wanted. Picked em up about 10 months ago for $49 each with free shipping. Price has gone up a bit.

Ya know when tires last "only 5 years" nowadays, you wont wear them out on your hobby car. Buy cheap. I'll start looking for those shipped to the house. I'll mount myself with tubes so the old ass Centerlines wont leak out on me. The valve hole is corroded slightly on both so I dont know if they will seal there either, tube it! Then take 'em in for balancing. Do they make them in 70 series? I need taller rather than wider on my lipped 65.
