Does anybody know if they make a drag radial that can mount on a stock steel rim 5.5 inch.

14 or 15?,I dont think anybodys making them for a 14,if its 15 I would go with a 235-60-15.

M&H makes a 215- 65-15 DOT Street/Strip tire that they recommend a 6 inch rim width that you could probably get by with...

The only 14" drag radials I have seen are 50 series for imports.

Hoosier has a 26X8X14 QTP, kinda big for a 5.5" rim but I know a few guys here that run them and hang the front tires.

MT's ET Street Radial in 235-60-15 recommends a 7" rim...that may be pushing it on a 5.5" rim?

Someone w/ 1st hand experience will chim in eventually...

Heres 416scamps car with the Hoosier on it.

Sorry i did mean to say 14 inch . I was trying to find out if there was away to use the stock rims for my Dart and run drag radials at the track this summer. its hard to find small bolt rims in Canada were they don't kill you on shipping.

thanks for the reply AdamR do you know if those are 14 or 15 inch on that beatiful b5 blue Dart.

They are 14s. AbodyJoe also runs them on his dart. Wheels up and runs 12.20s I believe.

Wow, those 14 inchers hook hard! Looks good. Mike

Actually its not a huge problem, think about all the guys running 26-8-14 slicks on stock 14x5.5s,with a taller sidewall of a 15 you just run a little less psi to flatten out the contact patch. You also have to take into consideration how many guys are running 275-60-15s on 7 inch rims with sucess,Its not ideal, but it does work.--------But I:read2: see now he does have 14s lol.

Thanks for all the posts on this guys . thanks 62v200 for the site they allready sent me a Email with pricing and shipping , very reasonable. any more info on guys runniing these tires would be great.

yuo.. mine are 26 x 9 1/2 hoosier qtp. not radials but they hook great.

also 383man's son. not sure if he is a member here or not. but he is running mid 11's with a 400 in it and 26 x 9 1/2 -15 hoosier qtp.

Try M&H - www.MandHtires.com - you can view their catalog on line.

Not trying to hi jack this thread, but M&H was an account of mine.
Marvin was a very smart man, and very cool to.
Its too bad Marvin sold out to the big guy's
The hall way to the offices was plastered with all of the
top racers pics at the strips
I still have the old M&H golf cart he brought to the events.
