Just picked this up and am not 100% sure it's from a '65 V8 as advertised.
It appears to be 1" wide as I read on FABO and that would indicate a V8 but the "drop" doesn't seem to be as aggressive as other pics I've seen of other center links.

Thanks in advance for any input.

This one was taken from a 66 Dart with a 273. The white tape reads 1-3/4".

I think the 1" drop is OK. I heard the fat 65 Barracuda V8 mounts make a straight 6 link just touch the pan, you should be OK.

Yep.

Actually a \6 link will work with the V8. It drags a little, but if you've shimmed the engine it'll fit.

Confirmed. That's what I did with my 64 Dart. A piece of 3/8" plate sandwiched between the motor mounts and K-member provided just enough clearance throughout the full steering range. If you are handy just fab up some new motor mounts to raise it the height you want although watch clearances between the firewall/tunnel and the trans bellhousing keeping in mind the driveline needs a little wiggle room.
