Ok so I was playing with the cam quest program and this is what it gave me.This is a 360

I have the mopar .508 cam this is with a comp .507 .510 cam

With Stock 2 valve wedge hp/stock heads
2.02 and 1.6 valves
std flow duel plane
600cfm carb
9.0 comp ratio
longtube header open exaust

It is showing 355hp @ 5000rpm
and 400tq @ 4000rpm


With a 660 cfm carb max flow duel plane intake and pocket porting it shows

490hp @ 6000rpm
477tq @ 5000rpm

Wow!! 1,000 more rpm and a ton of torque and HP more?? Ok, the pocket porting did it!!! LOL
 
I would guesstimate that to get 490hp you would need mildly ported W2 heads or heavily ported Edelbrock or RHS heads. 850CFM carb

And it would be a 7000RPM + engine.

However I've never built one so I could be wrong.

If it shows an actual horsepower/torque curve you can tell straight away if it's bogus if they don't cross over at 5250RPM.
 
Camquest is the old Desktop Dyno program.Superflow(flowbench designers),use a generic rule,where 1 cfm gained=2 horsepower if optimised.Not a big fan of it. Wild n Crazy,will chime in,as well as others.
 
Generic program giving generic results. Doesn't take into account anywhere near enough engine data/specs.
Results will vary.
 
Reduce the second HP number by 100 and you'd be closer. That cam, mild porting on factory heads, 9.5 compression, a 750 carb on a Performer RPM should make 400HP/450TQ pretty easy, but not 475. I think that program is pretty optimistic about "max flow" from the intake and porting.
