it is really for road use and sometimes, very rarely on track
    I was thinking of a:
    Currie Dana 60
your opinion on the Detroit Truetrac system?

I'll tell you what my dad use to say to me. "Never be afraid of buying the best, you'll never be disappointed." If you buy a Dana 60 you have the right rear end for what ever direction you take your car. I have used a Detroit locker in the past. Several times, never had a problem.

I'm biased towards 8.75s which have drop out center sections that can easily be swapped around in an hour or so. So then you can have several chunks kicking around for different purposes. At one time I had about eight of them, but eventually I bought an overdrive, so sold all the big-number stuff, one by one.... except 4.88s, I still have two of those.

when you change the rear axle ratio, do you also make changes in the automatic gearbox?

I also thought of the Ford 9 "model, with the ease of changing the ratios quite easily.

My 2 cents? if its a Mopar, Dana 60. If it's a Ferd, go 9".

I always dreamed of making my own Dart with a big engine. when I lived in Brazil I had the possibility of doing, but the time passed too quickly. 30 years later I live in Belgium, a nice country, but what shit, to make a simple change of wheels. and when I tell you that USA parts finally arrive here almost 3 times more expensive.

That depends on how long it's gonna stay in the car, lol.
If it's gonna stay; then you would want to change the speedO gear so it's accurate again. and
Depending on how big a gear change you swapped in, you might want to correct the governor for better-timed auto upshifts, which is not that big a deal to do.
As you go bigger in gear numbers, like from 3.23, to 3.55, the need for higher stall decreases somewhat..... Unless you like the whiplash of a 2800plus TC, with 3.91s lol. I mean it's kindov addictive.

I know what you mean about time. The older I get, the faster time seems to go. I'll be 68 shortly and the last 7years have absolutely flown by me.Crap I'm almost half way thru my last quarter.

normally next week I will receive the full quote with the price here in Belgium.
Just to give you an idea of the price madness here in europe.

set of rear leaf springs: in the USA 400 dolars,
to get it here 1000 euros.
stainless steel fuel tank: in the USA 260 dollars, once here in Belgium 800 euros.
It's because I love Dodge made USA too much, because it makes you want to sell everything and buy a Catheram 620R. for 40 thousand euros.

hello enthusiasts, I have just made a fairly large order of parts on a site in Germany. Are the same parts that I could order from you but at a better price than by the previous method. I'll keep you posted when the rooms are at my house.
If it works I control my rear axles.
probably it will cost me around 6,000 euros at home in Belgium.

Sorry, I wouldn't piss on the best part of a 9 inch. I
Idgaf how popular and how many parts are available. I've seen just as many of those break as anything else. Horsepower robbing junk. Use an 8 3/4 or the 60. If it's just road going, not much hard race, that 8 3/4 will last a long time. It's also the lightest of the three. If you're thinking something big down the road for power, put the 60 in and be done. I'll third the motion for talking to Cass at Dr. Diff.

I already bought the actuating rod of the brake master cylinder.
I have to see a guy that I work quite regularly, to see how much it will cost me the transport to Belgium
