Hey guys, I just got a chance to buy a car that Ive always had my eyes on. Its a real Chrysler 300 letter car. A 64 300K to be exact. And the guy selling it would let the thing go for pretty dang cheap. My issue is that I still want to put the v8 Ive slowly been putting money into, into my wagon. What should I do? Buy the 300, put the wagon off for a bit. Or just forget the 300 and continue the wagon? When would another chance to buy a car like that come around?

Thanks guys.

If it was a car I had my eyes on id probably get it and put off my current project for a bit. My reasoning is the engine im putting into my wagon will always be there, but will that car be?

How rough is the 300? (pics) Parts for it are hard to come by and spendy. If its not to bad, buy it and rat hole it till you get the waggon done.

If the 300 is something you really want, I'd get it and put off the other project until the extra funds are available. If you pass on it now and can't find one later, you'll regret it as the one that got away and you had the chance but blew it.

The 300 is all original, numbers matching 413 hipo motor, and not missing a thing, the body and trim is almost perfect. Id post pictures If I had a decent camera.

Personally I'm getting burnout. This hobby seems more expensive than its worth. And then once you get your ride set up to kick butt on the street, the police want to jail you and throw your drivers license away, lol

But I had my fun on the street for 30 years now.

IF the 300 really is that nice and you love it, I think you should get it. Not many were letter-cars built in '64. They're unusual and cool. Super comfortable and driving one feels like you own the road. , However if you're thinking of it as an investment, I don't believe it will pay off in a big way. JMO

Get the 300 'cause it sounds like a car you can enjoy right now. You'll still have the wagon project and you can get to that when you get to that. The 300 might be a "Catch & release" kinda car (I used to do that with girlfriends) - I say get it, enjoy it and hopefully someone will come along that has to have it and you should get your money back out if it.
