My dd 08 Liberty will crank and crank but will not start, when you release the key, it keeps cranking. This has happened three times now, about a month apart. If you let it sit about 20 min, or so it will fire and run like a top. Any ideas? Fuel pump maybe? Dealer found nothing, worked perfect, they had it two days working on it.

I think if the fuel pump was flaky it would of packed it in by now. If it keeps cranking after you release the key it sounds like it's the key lock is sticking inside or possible the starter relay. You could just roll the starter relay with another one in the fuse panel to rule it out.

I ran all the relays to check them. Will look at the ignition switch and see what I can see

Also check the bottom of the integrated power module for corrosion. It is the under hood fuse box and relay center. Have seen them corrode and cause funny problem like what you are having. Check your battery for proper voltage and good connection.

Better check the TIPM....

They have had lots of failures.

Dealer said it was the win module on our 2011 GC and replaced it after I told him the symptoms were that the pump relay did not activate with the start button but did with the remote start feature. They agreed and if the win was not the issue they owned the TIPM replace and labor. Waiting on the TIPM to arrive at their cost.

Brain fart TIPM?
Easy to not know, Total Integrated Power Module
It's part of the PDC, the big fuse box under the hood. I tend to agree with the TIPM diagnosis. I probably sell 3 a month. Liberty's and Mini Van's seem to be the worst culprits.
