Anybody had any problems with this guy and shipping ?? I bought 60 dollars worth of parts and they charged me 50 dollars to ship, seems like a big money rip of to me ??

A few years ago, I bought a set of MP black wrinkle valve covers from him. According to his website, it was supposed to be a kit with gaskets and bolts. When it arrived, it was covers only. He refused to refund shipping charges to return the incorrect valve covers and send the correct kit. Would never do business with him again.

I bought two little plastic window stops and an emergency brake handle probably weight about 6 ounces

Have never heard good things about them. Thats why I have never dealt with them. $50.00 to ship, your getting peeled.Especially for the size/weight of what you ordered. What you ordered should be minimum cost priorty mail. Hopefully you havent gone through with the transaction yet.If you have stop payment now,and send back !

Sounds like he charged you the 'Overnight Express Shipping On Air Force One' fee.

I've been reading about Jim's for years on MOPARTS. Stay far away. he is apparently notorious for being out of stock, charging your credit card and you never receive your part. I heard the customer service is horrible too.

This is exactly how those crooks stay in business. If you paid with a credit card, contest the amount, return the items as directed by the CC company to them on your dime. Make sure you get the full amount refunded.

They are notorious for crazy shipping , will never give you a total with shipping either. That stuff should cost about $10 max to ship

Take it as a lesson learned and don't even bother to call, the nice lady that rides a broom will set you straight.

Here's a way to remember

jim = 3 letters - same as BAD
jack = 4 letters - same as good

$50 :angry7:

I bought a front bumper for my '65 Dart, from Arizona to Canada, the actual mail rate was about $68. Cause I don't do UPS.

You, sir, got ripped.

I think we need to notify all the Mopar nuts that we can and warn them to stay away from these people as they just rip you off. We need to stick together and show this type of company that we the public will not put up with this kind of behaviour.

I've dealt with Jim's Auto Parts in the past and all I can say is that they're all a bunch of crooks! If I ever see them at a car show this is how I'll salute them: :thebirdm:

Well, I have got a little time to make a few phone calls to them on your behalf Benlab. I also have electronic faxing off my computer so I am currently queing up a day's worth of e-faxes to them (until they turn off the fax machine or figure out how to block them). Hopefully, they'll get about 50 or so before the day is out. ;)

Jims has been ripping people off for decades..stay away,Jacks is who you need to deal with...

it would be nice if there was a recommended list of venders posted here and a not recommend list so we know before hand who is good to purchase from! it would save our members from getting gouged!

The only way to stop that kind of behavior ...is to hit him where it hurts...IN HIS WALLET...appeal to him to defend himself..If not put the word out on him..Has anyone contacted chrysler directly about his business practices? he is a mp dealer....

I know that not everyone goes over to Moparts for obvious reasons, but there have been so many threads there warning about Jim's, I thought it was common knowledge by now.

STAY AWAY FROM JIM'S!!!!

Wish I would have read these earlier. I purchased 6 thin washers that serve as the bushings on my shifter rods. Tough to find, so I thought what the heck and paid the $3.25 each. These could have been sent in a standard envelope, but what I found was a charge for just over $15 for shipping! It'll never happen again, I won't go back to Jims.

I payed for a back seat cover for a 67 cuda.Waited 2 mounths to install and found that they sent the wrong covers.Called the lady and they would not take them back even with the receipt. I'll never deal with jims again.
