(Rant on)
I know it's a free forum and adds are free to post. BUT! Does some one need to post 100+ for sale adds for Brochures? I just waded through 100+ of em to get to the new Messages about other things. why couldn't the user post it in 1 message and just list them in the message? Is it just me being weird by being bothered by that? It's just like an ebay search that when you refine and you click on used to sort them out and you get Rebuilt stuff too! (about 20 or 30 of one item) just list it once and say you've got 30 of em if that what you have. if it's just me, then I'll shut up and wade through them. I don't think I would ever buy from a poster like that, I know I won't buy from someone who does it on ebay.

whew! I feel better now. I think I'll go out to the garage and do some more work on the dart.
have a great day!

Yeah, I was kinduva little "W.T.F.ed" as well......isn't there some kind of limit here on posting stuff for sale at one time?

it isn't just me that finds it

COMPLETELY RUDE and disrespectful to BURY peoples adds with 50 PLUS threads by the same people

you can just as easily put all that in FIVE threads .. there seriously should be a limit

that was ridiculous

WOW LOL im going back outside myself ....

Logged on, seen all those brochures and went and visited another site for a while.....

I agree too. I brows by clicking "Todays Posts".

But really....... It would have been better for the buyer and seller if they had been listed in one post, by year and model.

That way the seller could have just edited the list as they sold and the buyer would have one simple place to look for something they wanted.

Yup, I had to go to page three just to get though them, 90% of the first 3 pages were for sale ads....maybe the poster can bump his ads at separate times, so it doest overwealm the site....

I'm glad I'm not the only one that got irritated by that. Totally trashed a couple of hours on the site here. Those ALL should have been put in one for sale thread and listed out accordingly.

Definately don't cruise this sight on my phone.

I'll "sign in" as one who agrees that sometimes the "for sale" stuff is a little "over." And much of it is posted by people who seem to do little else but use this site as their free classified site.

Did you see the brochure ads earlier? All by the same person. It clogged up the first three pages of the forum. It got to the point that you had to go to page 4 and 5 just to find a post.

I don't mind ads at all, but that was completely uncalled for.

I can understand where someone would want to showcase the items they are selling, but it was a bit like a separate add for every single piece of a car you were parting out. Maybe there could be a happy medium, like a list of what was for sale in a single add and if people were interested, you could have a link to photobucket or something like so interested parties could see the offered treasure? It would save on bandwidth here.

I guess some people just don't understand......

I think all in one thread with a link to pics would be the way to do it on that large of a scale.

Item 6 in the rules: Please try to limit each thread to 1 part unless the parts are directly related.

Ive bought from him seems to be a nice guy. Perhaps someone can ask him to list them all in one thread.

Not saying he isn't a nice guy, but man did the ads ever clutter up the forum for a couple of hours earlier.

The one thread idea with links to pics has been tossed out there.

It kinda bothered me but I didnt care. Usually if nothing interesting is on the mp, I go to the individual forum like general dusscussion etc. I can see it drove others nuts though.

I just dont see what is wrong with one ad that lists all of the materials the seller has available.

I always click on "todays posts". Everything that has changed will be in bold face type (although I am not looking at For Sale items only) Hopefully no one here will buy from the "for sale hogs" and they'll go away.. tmm

It has happened a few times before. He spends 5 minutes bumping all his ads at once. It clogs the front page for a little while and could be considered spam in some forums. FABO allows it. It doesn't bother me. I just cruise through a few pages of hot mopar babes or something. Like Bob Segar said, "Turn the page".

A couple of members that had a bunch of items for sale made one ad with links to their other ads but members complained and they were deleted.

Actually I think the guy that did it second complained about the guy that did it first. The concept would work if they weren't allowed to bump all the single ads too.

I hafta agree, but didn't figured I've been here long enough to express my dislike. Basically try not to say anything bad if I don't have somethin good to say.

Totally agree. Same thing when someone has 20 items for sale and lists a seperate ad for each one. There should be limitations on how many ads can be posted daily.
