I am new to the K-H world. I am swapping on a set i bought. Looking at the caliper, wondering does the rubber hose screw directly on the threads in this picture or am i missing a piece?

Somebody before you hodge podged those caliper hard lines, and rubber flex hoses, to use something other than factory hoses.
That fitting is not correct.
The proper rubber flex hose connects directly to the caliper hard line, and the "horse shoe" clip holds everything onto the hose bracket.
The horse shoe clip is the same as the one in your fender well where that hose connects.
Look at my picture.
