K1 rods

K1 was Tom Molnars company that he sold to Callies I believe. He's once again started selli g cranks and rods under his name "Molnar". From the little I've heard people have been pleased with the quality of the K1 stuff.

I'm using his crank and rods in my W8 project.
 
I used them in my 340 build - they looked like very nice pieces, and when MRL Built my engine, he had no comments on them other than they were overkill for the power I was making....they must have been good as I didn't get charged for any re-work.

They are WAAAAY lighter than a stock 340/360 rod.
 
I know some of the Slant 6 racers are using them,,and like them !
 
i,ve got them in mine rated to 1000hp they say, all i can say is that the cast eagle crank snapped though the 1/2 rod journal and the rods held t together as i drove it home with no damage at all to them.........checked them for straightness ect when i put the forged crank in ..................love them.
 
Huh-When that 500 is running and not taking out cam lobes !!!!!!!!!!!! LOL
