Anyone have real world experience running KB399 pistons and Magnum head combinations?

I have real world math. With the Magnum block (9.580") you get a deck clearance of .008" positive deck height. With the LA you (9.6) you get .012" in the hole. Since the piston has a .140 dome, there's no way it'll work on either block with Magnum heads without milling the domes.
That's what I was thinking, and that explains the distinct lack of information. Thank you Rusty.

I'm hijacking my own thread, but is calculated 9.0:1 worth $278.00 over calculated 8.5:1? I'm taking votes.
Not just no, but hell no. The general rule of thumb is, for every ONE POINT increase in compression from say 8:1 to 9:1 only gains 3%. So you're talkin about 1.5% for 278 bucks.
