there is a trans go shift kit in a 904. 3rd gear is kicking in too late. I have to let off the gas a bit and then it kicks in to 3rd. Which way do I adjust the kick-down rod? Its a one piece arm from the carb down to the transmission

thanks ya'll. Godspeed

Make the rod shorter.
Should be a treaded part near the carb screw it in to shorten it.
Or there will be a slider that the rod goes through at the trans if so .. loosen the 1/2" bolt and push the rod through it more.

or you can buy my aftermarket lokar kickdown cable that i cant use because of the shift kit i have
