Hi, I have a '67 barracuda with a 360/727. I currently don't have a throttle cable, kickdown cable or bracket.

I have been shopping around and ran across this.
Mancini Racing kickdown bracket/cable $126.00
http://chucker54.stores.yahoo.net/retobotokica.html

Then purchase this for the throttle cable bracket $29.95 http://chucker54.stores.yahoo.net/accamobr.html

Has anybody used this??? What did you think? I have not ever set one up so I was wondering how good the instructions were? All that is left is a throttle cable, I do have an old ratty one I guess could measure the lenght and order up a plastic one for 38$.

This all add up to around $200.00 are they any cheaper alternatives???

All this seems a little pricey so I was just wondering if this is as good as the add reads and if its nice, clean and simple to install.

Thanks in advance
Jim

You can get the Lokar kick down cable, throttle cable and mounting bracket for substantially less. There is even a generic version which is a bit cheaper. Mancini seems high priced on the setup. The hot rod shop near me is comparable to online prices and doesn't charge tax on cash transactions. That's a six pack of beer to entertain yourself while you're putting the cables on.

The lokar stuff looks really nice too...I did get on here website and poke around a little and didn't see anything mopar specific.

Which brackets and cables did you guys get??

P.S. A couple of beers is the only way to spend time in the garage

Here is a pic somebody posted and I swiped, it's just the top part.

they have kick down kits for 904/727 specific.

throtle cables are universal.

they both work very well. they work so smooth.

and you can get the lokar stuff cheaper from summit and local places.

stay away from the cheap imitation stuff. the stuff isn't as high quality.

I recently bought these Lokar items for my son's '74 Duster with 360/727 from fatrodders.com

Throttle bracket for Holley 4 bbl - Part no. SRK4000 $22.00
Throttle cable (universal black) - Part no. TC100U $35.00
Kickdown cable (universal black) - Part no. KD2727U $55.00

Nice folks to deal with, very helpful.

There is a cheaper way. Buy mine. I bought one from mancini's about a year ago but later picked up an old engine and trans with the correct three piece linkage that I will be using. Mine is all there with the installation instructions sitting on a shelf in my garage. $50,00 pklus shipping takes it.

Would you send me an email at [email protected]

Thanks Kenny.....as well as everybody else. It seems mopars have plenty in the aftermarket parts world...AMC has a lot but not like mopars do..
