Anybody ever have knee surgery??Just had orthoscopey..Ouch!This is the 3rd time in 20years after major reconstructive surgery(2 torn ligaments)Now i,ve had this done a couple times before, but this time it seems to hurt a hell of alot more(age45)I also have 3 h.discs.So gettin comfortable is a little harder.I,m of work for a bit so good time to play mechanic again.I have my center section out and clutches are done.I was thinking on spool but I just got a call for a s.g with 3.91.The guy apparently rode the car off and pulled c.section so I offered 200 bucks and he said yes.Is that a deal or what??It will be at least a week before I get some more movement to install,I,ll keep posted..

I feel for you, I had knee surgery the end of February this year. Completely torn medial and lateral meniscus (it was a scope). It was well worth it though. It feels better than it has in a LONG time. But mine wasnt as major a surgery as the ones youve had in the past. Also just had rotator cuff surgery about 2 months ago and of the 2 the knee was a lot easier rehabing. Hang in there, take it easy and enjoy the time off to work on the car!!

I have an appointment today to look at both knees. Major surgery in late 80's on one, scopes on both. This will go around # 3. Good luck to both of you in Rehad. Let you know where I am headed with this later.

I had a partial knee replacement in January. Do not recommend it for anybody. It hurts worse than the old knee did and I can do even less with it. If it comes down to it, skip this step and go with a full replacement. Hope your recovery goes better than mine.

Good luck today 72Swinger! Sorry to hear about the problems Grumpus, coming out worse off than before has to be a total nightmare. Hope things take a turn for the better soon!

Not me so far!:-| Shoulder surgery and they cut out an area for my nerves
to lay in. Bone's degenerating.
Congratulations on the $200 dolor deal :thumbrig:
Take it easy and do as the DR. said..or back you will go.:read2:
Hope everything heals up nicely for you so you can get back at
your install.

I had a total left knee replacement in January and it was the best thing I ever did for my knee! Funny thing was after when I told the surgeon the leg felt longer - he said they're both now the same length because he estimated the knee had been bone-on-bone for about 8 years.
Surgery in January, started bowling again in April. Bowling average hasn't improved but the surgeon said he never guaranteed it would.
Key to the whole thing is your surgeon and rehab. Make sure you find a joint replacement specialist if you have to have a replacement. Don't settle for for just an orthopedic surgeon.
Good score on the SureGrip!! Killer price!

=P~i feel for yea , i have have bouth my knees replaset and my right hip. the knees toke a year to stop hurting the hip no big thing .

Doctor wan'ts to scope the right one and replace the left one (kinda knew this was comming as last time I scoped it the doctor told me so). Problem being I am only 48 long time tio go on knee replacement.

I had the left knee ortho'ed July `07. Better than new now! :-D

Sorry to hear that 72Swinger. They want to do the scope first? Atleast that would buy a little time on the more serious surgery. Best of luck on however you and the Dr's decide to go and keep us posted!

John, those incisions look VERY familiar. I agree, before the surgery on my left knee it was the "bad" one. Now it feels better than the right.

Mine was about 8 years ago and it lasted good for about 5 years.
Now I just pamper it and take it slow and smart.

I had my knee scoped 2 years ago painful yes...but nothing compared to the pain i had from having my rotator cuff repaired,,ouch........

Oh My Fastback those are some purrrty legs HaHa!!Alright I got in the truck today(auto)and went to pick-up the chunk(pig)3rd member,I could,nt let it go bye and it was only 1 mile. It,s a .489 with 4.10 not 3.91 like he said, which is even better 4 me.Question? What are all these other #,s.?What is this outof.Dart, demon, other??I hope pic. shows numbers..here goes..

Jeez, I thought I was the only one falling apart,,,,,left rotator, elbow nerve crushed, knee scoped, neck fused at #3...... doctor says its just "maturity".

Good luck with the operation and the rehab! Hopefully the pain will be kept to a minimum, it's better that way. I have been in therapy for about 9 months relearning how to walk, use my hand and arm. Atleast it will be short term for you! Awesome score on the rear, I never seem to find them!

Been through six surgeries, 3 reconstructions and a few clean ups...
Being that you've had 3 you should know the drill.

If it starts to swell, GET OFF OF IT!

Other than that, work hard at rehab and pay attention if it begins to swell.

This is a few days after mine. Im not sure what Nikki is talking about in the backround so just ignore it. Im pretty sure I was still on drugs when I took this vid. 3 weeks of sitting on my *** in bed then standing up so I could go take a dump and all the blood rushed to my foot that was all brused with a big bed sore on my heel. I haven't cried since I saw the movie Fox and the Hound when i was little but that pain dropped me to the floor and made me cry like a little girl.

I kinda know what your talking about because I've had my right hip replaced twice. First time was because I got hit by a car when I was 13. Many years later, because I didn't tell anyone about being hit ( I jumped up and ran off ) my hip was cracked and healed crooked. Wore the hip socket out and had to be replaced at 40. Later, as a truck driver, I was unloading a truck and tore the cup from my hip. Another hip now and I will never make that mistake again. Good luck on recovery. Pay attention to what the doctor says.

GL!
I had my right knee worked on a lot in Philly Naval Hospital; 1971; was in there for 5 months; + 3 yrs as out-patient.
Had same knee replaced in 2000 and left replaced in 03
Both hips replaced in-between.
Talk about getting thru airports!

Best advice I offer to all is to do as much stretching and exercising as you can tolerate; reduce weight; follow Doc's advice and keep track of ALL meds given in hospital... was accidentally morphed twice in Nav Hospital.
I have a little Helpful Tips narrative that I give to folks that are facing joint replacement.. #1 is is to have lotts Baby Wipes on-hand for the hospital stay.

Be well y'all!

you made out very well on the 410's i just got a set of 410's a cppl months ago with a 35 spline spool i paid 275 for them i was excited

Well it,s been 3 days and today it feels alot better.I seem to be moving around alot better, swelling is going down.I think I might start to re-install the chunk tomorrow.Slowly I,ll just get done as much as I can do.I,m gettin freakin bored, not used to sittin around doing nothing.Seems like a waste cause I,m off work!
