Does anyone know if the "knockout" part of the ('72-75?) Rally Acorn Centers can be bought anywhere new? I have some centers that look pretty good except the knockout part is bad. Thanks
Thanks 73Swinger18. I've seen these and may end up buying them, but I am trying to see if anyone sells just the brushed finished "knockout part"? Some of mine are dented and pitted. I've looked online and cannot seem to find "new knockouts".
Oh. I thought you might be asking about those, but wasn't aware that they were removable. I'll keep my eyes peeled. Thanks 73Swinger18. I looked at those, they are 1 9/16 diameter. My knockouts are about 2 3/4? Bad picture, sorry. I'm going to look again on some of those wheel, hubcap sites and see if they have anything cheap at 2 3/4 diameter. Maybe something with a Mopar logo or something with some color, I don't know? If not I'll use what I've got and save up for the one piece Acorns. Thanks again, and nice job on your car! I checked out your pics. I hope to get mine in that shape some day!Mopar Parts | MM8277 | 1970-71 Rallye Wheel 4 Piece Center Cap Insert Set | Classic Industries
Maybe these? The year listed is not what you're looking for, but there are several PNs listed that they fit.
Thanks! I finally got her running good and can just enjoy cruising in it now, until the next thing pops up! Maybe you could bring those caps to a machine shop and have them brush them up. I'm sure they will come out nice with some high speed revolutions and some fine paper.I looked at those, they are 1 9/16 diameter. My knockouts are about 2 3/4? Bad picture, sorry. They look nice! How did you clean them up?73Swinger18, thanks for the suggest. My Scamp will never be a show car but take a look at this pic and tell me if I am overthinking this? I know pics can be deceiving, but these should be alright?

Thanks. I carefully hand sanded, masked and repainted. Sprayed clear coat over the Argent Silver paint and then shined up the chrome parts after a week or so. I think I'm going to quit while I'm ahead. Good enough for who they're for! They look nice! How did you clean them up?
Cool. I did the same thing with some side trim I had on my '64 Falcon. Used metallic silver wheel paint with a clear coat and it turned out real nice. Enjoy and drive through some puddles! Thanks.
