Hey guys, I've got a 414 inch LA, nothing wild, just a strong street mill. Putting it in a non Mopar straight axle gasser pulled from a barn. I'm struggling with oil pan clearance issues (rear sump) since i have a cross member AND an I Beam front suspension.

The only reason I want a dry sump is pure oil pan clearance.

I understand dry sumps, but I'm not sure where the pressure stage feeds the block, and what other internal mods might be needed to accommodate the external pump feeding the block. Anyone got a good link or diagram or explanation of the pressure side for an LA? It's a 6,000rpm max engine, and i haven't felt the need to do any oil mods, but may in the future if the engine ever has to come apart.

thanks,
rick

Correct.

BTW, I have two of the Joe's fittings on my 4" 340. They will be used with an Accusump plumbed directly in with a remote filter between the outlet hole (bottom plug) and the Accusump. Someday.

have you any pics of the motor sat in the car showing where it's tight for clearance?
oh, and we need (well i do, lol) pics of this non mopar gasser.
gassers are definately my 'thing' so i'm interested in what you have.
cheers, neil.
