Lancer heater switch

I have a '61 Lancer 770 in need of a new push button heater control switch (part # 2096083). NOS switches are available but at prices around $300. I've found switches for heater/ac switches (part #3895033) which look very similar to my switch at much more reasonable prices. Can this switch or another be adapted to use on my car?

you can rebuild that vacuum switch-- there is an article on how to -- i'll see if i can dig that out, Lawrence

My problem is the vacumn connection tips have broken off the switch. Other wise the switch works fine.
