last 8 of vin on rad support

looking over the two A bodies I have in my shop...I notice the vin (last 8) stamped into the drivers side top of the radiator support have the first 2 digits reversed.

are yours that way also?
maybe the year matters...these are 73 and up

Mines like that on a 72 & have seen them reversed on the package tray too.

It is how it was done.

All mine have a letter or two reversed, 67-up.

The guy who set the numbers was dyslexic....

Many got out that way until they figured out he was that way....

Dyslexics untie!!!!

The 68' had the SON, 69 up it was the VIN#

'Correct' is with the first two body digits transposed for the '69 model year & up.

If found otherwise, typo or bogus re-stamp.

No vin on either of my cars on the rad or the package tray. Never stamped. And have seen many with and without them mixed up.
