Your a man after my own heart Mark. I would have done the same thing except I don't think I could have kept a straight face.Morning Fred....Oh..going to be another hot one today feeling like 37C with humidity. (99F)
Grandsons are gone now, they left at 5pm yesterday. I pissed their mother off I'm pleased to say. Our son had brought down some really nice lounge chairs that were around his pool as she wanted them. She didn't know about it and she said I don't think I can get them into the van so I told her to put them in the boat that she had behind but she didn't want to. She asked if I would store them in the garage for a few weeks and I said Sorry no room so they either go with you or they go to the curb and someone will pick them up. I managed to keep a straight face but believe me I was laughing inside. You could tell she was pissed as she was all red in the face. Still have the knack I'm pleased to say LOL.
Have a great day Fred. It will be a good one for me knowing I pissed the BBBB-itch off.
I've always considered myself to be a nice guy with a big heart and will help anyone anytime but piss me off and I'm your worst nightmare...believe me she did and everyone else as far as that goes. What goes around comes around they say.Your a man after my own heart Mark. I would have done the same thing except I don't think I could have kept a straight face.
Was out in the garage this morning unpacking the 29 truck parts and it's all there and in real good shape. It has a overdrive in it that's a plus.
Looks like a cool day today so if I have time after work I will pressure wash the house and garage.
Have a good day my friend.
Got the same problem with one of my Daughter in laws, She works for the state and has to report any child abuse. Well so happens that one of my boys with his 4 kids are living in there garage for the last 4 months waiting to move to there new place out of State. My Daughter in law turned them in for child abuse and never even been to my sons place. Needless to say I am pissed and she is no longer welcome in my house. I am a nice guy most of the time but like you we can only take so much.I've always considered myself to be a nice guy with a big heart and will help anyone anytime but piss me off and I'm your worst nightmare...believe me she did and everyone else as far as that goes. I know she is doing her job but what a POSer. You don't do that to your own family at least without a warning. Can you take them in Fred or are they not very close to you as far as distance goes?Got the same problem with one of my Daughter in laws, She works for the state and has to report any child abuse. Looks like it's time for work talk to you later Mark.
I would take them in no problem Mark, our give them my motor home but they got everything they need and don't want my help. The sheriff was there and couldn't find anything wrong with the way they are living. The kids think it's great camping out and it is just through the summer. They have a shower and toilet and washer and dryer and even TV. They live about 20 miles from me and they know they have a place to stay at my house.I know she is doing her job but what a POSer. I totally agree with you about not being welcome in your house and don't know how she could face everyone either after doing that. What goes around comes around and a firm believer in that. Hope you get it sorted out soon. Good luck.
What a way to strengthen your kids Fred , I commend you !
Thanks FOG. Wish I could have done a better job but seems no matter how hard you try to raise them right they have there own ideas. What a way to strengthen your kids Fred , I commend you !
So true Fred ! So true !Thanks FOG. Wish I could have done a better job but seems no matter how hard you try to raise them right they have there own ideas.
Seems like we got fires every ware this year Been smokey around here for 2 weeks.Well fellas the forest fire season is here can’t see the mountains for the smoke it’s awfull
If your kids are anything like you Fred they sound very responsible. That must have been a wonderful experience to live in the cabin with no internet etc. Back to the basics. My son's neighbours are Amish and they live in a very modest home at the present but are building a beautiful home almost touching the older home. He has wired for hydro and lights etc and all the normal things for us but they will continue to live without hydro, cars and so fourth. He and his wife have six kids (hence because of no TV I suspect so he has to have some hobby LOL) and they of course have their farming and also sells milk and eggs but also builds lovely wooded sheds so he does have a generator to run the milking machines and saws etc but he also has a cell phone strictly for business purposes. I looks a little odd when they are driving past on their buggy while he's talking on his cell. He sure knows how to make money. My son hunts with him all the time. Your Daughter-in-Law must have egg on her face now and looks good on her.I would take them in no problem Mark, our give them my motor home but they got everything they need and don't want my help. I think most people would have turned me in to the State when I raised my kids because when my oldest was 13 I moved out of a new house and built a cabin in the mountains in Washington State and showed my kids how to live without the internet and we lived there for 5 years without power or all the things that people think we need. My kids have good memories back then and was the best time of or life, I would come home from work and we would all stay up late telling bed time stories under candle light.
You've done a great job and even harder when you've sadly had to do it by yourself. Life can be a challenge at times and you think "why me" but things like this only happen to strong people. A job well done Fred. Thanks FOG. Wish I could have done a better job but seems no matter how hard you try to raise them right they have there own ideas.
Stay safe Biff.Well fellas the forest fire season is here can’t see the mountains for the smoke it’s awfull
Thanks Mark but sometimes I wonder if I did the right thing living that way.If your kids are anything like you Fred they sound very responsible. I would say that you gave them a wonderful experience. Too bad other families didn't do that. It might change a lot of attitudes kids have today. A sense of privilege so to speak. Thanks Mark but sometimes I wonder if I did the right thing living that way.
It wasn't a religious thing just got tired of them not having anything to do but play all day.
If my daughter in law apologizes I would be surprised.
I think all you guys here are good parents and that's why I stick around. You all have great values and Are top notch. You've done a great job and even harder when you've sadly had to do it by yourself. Life can be a challenge at times and you think "why me" but things like this only happen to strong people. A job well done Fred.
Sure wish I lived closer Mark would love to go with you.Landed up going to the car show last night after all. It was quite overcast and of the air was thick with the humidity but a great turnout as usual.
That would be a nice experience for you. Nice that you still have him around.Sure wish I lived closer Mark would love to go with you.
Talked to my father in law last night he wants me to fly to Washington State to his house and he and I jump in his Vette and head for California for a week.
Not sure how long he will be around so I need to be with him as much as I can. That would be a nice experience for you. Nice that you still have him around.
We're really enjoying the gazebo Fred. We always loved the deck but now we can enjoy it raining or not. Another room in the house. By the time you buy all the materials needed and to have a privacy and bug curtain made up just buy the complete thing and assemble it. A lot less work and probably works out about the same price anyway Fred and virtually no maintenance either being aluminum. If you make it out of wood then you never have to stain/paint it. Something to think about the older you get.Not sure how long he will be around so I need to be with him as much as I can.
I'm the only kid he has, His daughter is a peace of **** and he doesn't like her.
You been spending time in the gazebo Mark? I think next year I will build one.
