It should. Don't forget you put oil and penetrating fluid in the cylinders and that has to burn off plus all the crud that collected over the years.
When I first pulled the spark plugs and looked down the cylinders I found a spider web in #2 hole, God only knows what else was in there.

I'm gonna put the truck all together and drive it around a bit before I restore it. That way I will know what I need for parts.
Made that mistake on putting a china made dist. in the scamp didn't last long and ended up getting a better one.
Most of that Chinese stuff is junk. If you're ever buying a lawnmower/snowblower make sure you check out the motor. A lot of Briggs and Stratton knockoffs are being put on this machines. They are called Powermore and some other names as well. I've got a perfect name for them but can't post it on here. LOL
They are all Chinese engines and are junk. Briggs is always what I use and never have a problem with them (so far anyway)

I have a old John Deere snow blower that I put a China engine on and was hoping that it would last through one winter till I could afford a new one. It's worked now for 3 winters I consider myself lucky even though I only use it a few times a year and only for about 40 min. each time.

I had to buy a bowl gasket for a Chinese engine and had to buy the whole carb kit for it. Briggs would have been less that 5 bucks but cost me 25 for the whole kit. I find most of those engines surge like crazy.
Hey Fred...remember that 31 year old woman I told you about was up in a crane topless in Toronto. She's had two charges against her and in court today. She was probably stoned or drunk and was in violation of her probation as well. Something she can brag to her grandkids if she makes it that far

They should have left her up there and locked her in.
You were lucky to even find the right kit Mark. I just throw the junk away and take it for a lesson learned.
Well time for work. Always enjoy talking to you Mark.

This is for last Friday when I didn't post a burnout. Watch we he hits it the left ratchet straps breaks. Some lucky guy.

Luck is right Mark.
Another day at work with not much to do so home early. Going to the garage to work on the old truck, it seemed like the carb was not working real good when I ran it so gonna take it apart and check it out.

That sounds bad Biff. ware is most of that pollution coming from?

Morning Mark What's going on today.
I don't think I will be at work to long today so might take the old truck around the block.

All that pollution is coming from the over 500 forest fires in BC. My neighbour just got home yesterday from Alberta. He's training to be a firefighter and he said the air was really bad there as well. We can smell the smoke here in Ontario which is a long way from Alberta but it's being carried by the air currents. He's been away for at least 4 months so has a lot of "shall we say catching up" to do with his girlfriend. A tough job but someone has to do it.

Morning Fred...sounds like an easy day buddy. I went to the car show last night and my oh my did it cool down. Guys were walking around with sweatshirts and coats on. Last Wednesday it was so hot and muggy it was hard to breath. What a difference. It's 11 degrees this morning but great sleeping weather. Have a great day my friend.

Great morning starting out here in Northeast Arkansas, 63 degees. just wanted to pop in and say good morning men.
