FOG and I live a good 4 hrs apart.
I thought you guys were closer than that, I see why you don't see each other a lot.
Looks like my plans for the day has been changed, my clothes dryer took a dump and heading to town to get a new one. No surprise it's about 12 years old.

Hey Biff are the fires under control yet? Nice country up in BC hate to see it burn.
Some are contained but most are burning on the mainland, 40 burning on the island , good this morning got the windows open , soposed to get a little rain next couple days , only 1 mm though

Hey Biff we ended up with lots of smoke from your fires today the worst Iv'e seen here.
Some of the neighbors was hoping it was pot that was on fire instead of trees.

My neighbour just got back from Alberta on Wednesday and was talking to him and he said the visibility was about 200 yards and the smell was heavy from smoke and would sting your eyes first thing in the morning. He's here for 4 weeks then back out there again.

Not to many people can work as hard as they do on a forest fire, my hat is off to your neighbor. Give him an atta boy for me.
I worked in forest fires in Washington State for a year and that was all I could handle. The smoke and heat was bad enough but cutting down trees and clearing brush in front of the fire to try to stop it was even harder.
Never went through a fire storm thank God I had guys tell me that you would climb in your shelter for protection from the heat and the wind was so strong it would lift you off the ground.
All the people fighting forest fires are a strong bunch and should be proud of what they do.

I have been fixing gas leaks, oil leaks and water leaks in the old truck most of the day I feel like the little dutch boy trying to stop the leak in the dyke.
I'm afraid to see what is leaking out of the tranny and rear end.

Still no Chinese parts though  so that means you can fix them not through them away !

The original parts should never be thrown away. Even if they aren't repairable someone who wants to buy the truck/car will always want the ORIGINAL PARTS regardless.

Diane and I went downtown last night for the kick-off of Autofest happening all weekend. Lots of cars and old friends I hadn't seen in a while. Of course the live band was so freaking loud at the 4 corners you couldn't even talk and the sound was distorted. Lots of cars with headers open and doing burnouts.

For sure Mark I have lots of spare parts now I'm gonna have to make more room for them in the garage.

4 of my boys and I had a good time today We got most of it put together, even rebuilt the horn and it works good. Tomorrow we will hook up head lights and tail lights and as you can see the water pump still leaks but will fix it some day soon.
Done for today and sitting down to a beer and good conversations.
