ok I know everyone loves pics. I'm fairly quiet around here but hope to get more involved. Michigan here by the way, any Michigan guys.

Got the first coats of high build on the car Tuesday night. Im fairly happy with it so far, couple of spots to work a hair or 3.

since starting I have stripped the entire car top and bottom inside and out. replaced all floor pans, replaced entire trunk pan, patch panel on passenger quarter. replaced door pillar stricker area, relocated the springs, mini tubbed and installed 8 point cage.

I have done every stitch of work myself. Never have I cut and welded on a car before in my life. Thanks to the tech archives here and questions asked I was able to do it all myself.

As of today all the bodywork is done and the first coats of high build are on. Enjoy the pics guys, let me know what ya think.

P.S. all this was started in May of 05 and many beers later we have this...

Ron

Man, that's a lot of work since May. Now I feel like a real **** because I got so little done on mine this summer! :) That's Viper Red you've sprayed on the bottom isn't it? I have the paint dude mixing me a pint of that right now and I have to pick it up in about 2 hours. I want to spray out an old fender before I commit to buying a gallon or two for the whole car. I'd hate to buy it all then decide I didn't really like the color...especially at today's prices for paint and materials. Good job, and at the rate you've progressed so far, it should be done fairly soon. At least I got my rotisserie built this summer and I now have the car mounted on it and spinning. :) Keep up the very impressive work.

Nice job rcottick! It amazes me when I see talented guys like you put a car together without any outside help. Cool color scheme too btw.

You asked about Michigan members... I moved up to Howell from St. Louis in Aug '04. I'm sorry to say, but my Duster project has been on hold since we got here. :(

Dilley, thanks for checking it out and thanks for the comments. I checked out your site and your building a very wicked looking duster there. I'm just down 75 from you about 30 minutes.
