Did they produce these as spreadbore intakes, or was this one modified?
It does have the "RARE" Chrysler part# stamped on the back of it...

I've never seen one that's not been modified. That one is either the best looking modified one I've ever seen, or proof they made a spread bore.

Looks like it was opened up. Done really nicely or as RRR said, maybe a version we hadn't seen before.

There is a Mopar Direct Connection bulletin that shows how to make this mod so you can run a thermoquad....the dealer always had tricks up their sleeves and it later became a common mod to do....here is mine

Looks they did a nice job on yours, so many times they are not done that nice, I can see whY you thought it was made like that.

Well I'm glad the center divider wasn't molested on my manifold. It's not a race car. I'm getting a new spacer that isn't open so I can restore some low end. And hopefully get rid of the initial stumble the engine had.

Yeah but yours looks crappy compared to the one in the OP........and yours really isn't crappy. lol But you can tell the difference. You did a good job on it though.

Thanks for the props there Rob. Much appreciated.
I haven’t been there in a long time. I just tried to get in and the site doesn’t recognize me. I sent a letter to the administrator. I also tried to sign up under a different screen name.

It’s all in the pump shot and ignition timing.
A spacer up top is probably a good thing.

I do not ever recall seeing an LD 340 cast in a spread bore configuration.

They only came as a square bore.

The above 1st pictured one, AlaskaJeff’s, has a beautiful job done to it. Round off the edges on the center divider on all 3 sides Jeff.

My old one was a screamer.
