Anyone ever use one of those kits sold on ebay to rebuild the springs ?
I would like to replace the rubbers and straps while the springs are out.
These are the 6 leaf springs though. The kits contain only enough shims for 4 leaf springs. Spending 75 dollars and then reusing a few shims is not ringing my bell.
Any insight or suggestions will help.

I rebuilt my rear springs for my 69. I bought mine from American Performance. If you want a correct rebuild kit I buy from Frank 804-275-2155. He carries a full line of correct reproduction parts although mainly E and B body.

I just ordered mine from Year One. $70. My 73 340 Duster has 6 leaves also. Still trying to find a new center pin though...

Got my kit from R/T specialties and ordered one extra plastic interliner because the kit only had 13 if i remember correctly, and the formula S six leaf springs requires 14.

Was quite pleased with the outcome.

If you need the front eye bushings, I would highly recommend EATON Detroit springs. Great people!!! I ordered 2 bushings from them and post sale they sent a hand written thank you card for a 30.00 dollar order.
