I have used a CD cover, the thin clear one on top of stack and got a feeding syringe from the pet store it is marked to 35 cc's. not the best i am sure but it did work in a pinch.

I just got a thick piece of plexiglass from home depot (cheap) and a baby medecine syringe marked in cc's (free, I just asked for them from the local drug store). I cut the piece of plexi to the correct size I needed to cover either a bore or chamber and drilled a hole a little bit larger than the end of the syringe. A light coat of grease on the head/block deck surface ensures it won't leak and you're ready to go.
BTW, I use tranny fluid for the cc'ng process.
