I haven't done anything major myself, just a simple package tray. Just curious to see what others have made. Did you make your own hood scoop or custom grill? Homemade dash? Something different that's not a factory restored component. Interested to see what creative minds we have out there.

Rally instrument panel is DIN friendly.
Original floor shifter has a BMW knob. This knob pulls paw up, opposite of original push down. Deluxe interior panels in rear of a 67 were made from door panels.
Right door mirror is long cable remote. Controller mounted in a 2nd ignition switch bezel. Parts of 3 mirrors required to do that.

Okay you said "Custom" and "scoop" Here is the custom bucket I made for a client not that long ago in my shop.
Those middle vertical bars were to help keep the bucket edge from curling as I welded in approx 150lbs of stick welding wire.
they were removed after this photo. The cutting edge is 2" carbon steel, the side cutters are 1.500" A36 Steel and the floor and sides is 3/4" A36 steel. It took just over 200hours of work.

So it doesn't have to be car related?

Here is a handle I build, it helps my mother in law get up out of her lazy boy

(There is a angle iron frame underneath that hugs the lazy boy frame)

Homemade stainless steal rocker kick panels and relocation of Alternator. Not much but took sometime and money.

I've forgot 75% of the things I've designed and built. People come to me at work and say "did you design this?" and they hear "Oh that thing, I forgot it existed". Typically its broken from use, abuse and lack of maintenance.....Right now I need to design a custom o-ring gauge.

One of my most recent fabrications. This is a spanner nut wrench for dissembling a bonfiglioli type final drive
off of a Case/New Holland compact track loader.

I have made a bunch o ****. Maybe some of these ideas can help you out.

One man rear axle removal and install dolley. Can be used as a buildup or tear down stand as well

Glass storage rack

Slant 6 to V8 RH mount jig. Cut the RH slanty mount off, bolt on jig, build new RH V8 positioned mount from jig down to the K. Also doubles to keep the K straight when seam welding

Engine or trans support, for when you have either one or the other out of the car and can still roll the car around. This currently has pvc on the tubing and sets on the torsion bars to support engine or trans.

Welding cart with china freight tool cabinet. Made from bedframe rail and odds n ends

Mini 12VDC benchtop power supply. I used a laptop 110v to 12v inverter to power it. Even charges my cell phone

Rack for all the lawn n garden ****.

I designed these mounts for the Embraer 145 regional jets I work on. The unit in the mount in the galley is an MP3 player for the public address system, and pre recorded features of the aircraft etc. What was in there previously were automotive CD players. The adaptor boxes were designed to be made to fit all the pre existing mount holes in the galleys. After designing the mount. I was required to manufacture 119 of these damn things lol. It's nice to see something I designed, then had to manufacture when I fly on the aircraft I work on
