Lever style clutch with no over head spring

hey guys so my clutch I'm going to run is the lever style I don't like the diaphragm style which is in my 68, but the 4 speed pedals in there do not have the center overhead spring would I be able to run the lever style clutch with my pedals with no over spring until I find a good set of pedals? Just trying to get the car to the fall fling for my brother.

No, You will need to get a spring and install it
