What I know:
On the original switch - yellow wire on the "D" terminal is the dome light and door switches
lt green wire on the "H" terminal is the dimmer

What I need help on:
Tan wire - appears to go to the fuse block and ign according to the schematics
pink wire on the "B2" terminal - fuse block and ign as well
the "R" terminal has two wires on it - a blk one and a yellow w/blk stripe
the "B1" terminal has a larger blk w/ white stripe

Basically I need to know where the B1, B2, R, and the tan wire go to. My terminal options on the new switch are: battery feed #2 for tail lights (must be fused); parking light; headlight; battery feed #1; tail light; and dash lights (positive side).

I think the tan wire goes to the dash terminal. The rest I am not sure which goes to what.

The year of your car certainly matters, also the model and engine may matter. What schematic are you using? Is it not detailed? You can find many wiring diagrams on FABO, use Search.

Once again, we need to know what year model

Once again, "just in case" is the link for some shop manuals

http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=132309&highlight=manual,+download

You can get somewhat useable manuals here:

http://www.mymopar.com/index.php?pid=31

Go to "Wiring/Electrical"

http://www.mymopar.com/index.php?pid=18

then "Mopar Wiring Diagrams"

http://www.mymopar.com/index.php?pid=24

Then select the range of years.

Don't you have a connector, one big connector, that plugs onto the light switch? ARe you trying to adapt something else?

Here's a screenshot out of the 72 manual:

This is the same switch used in my 67, and the reason nothing is connected to "P" is that it was used on older cars for "park" lights, and later years, the park (front) lights was hooked with the tail lights (terminal R)

B1 is NOT FUSED and comes from the dash harness "in harness splice" is a large (no12?) BLACK and that wire will be hot anytime the battery is hooked up AND if the ammeter is hooked up (or ammeter wires hooked together) BE CAREFUL

B1 has a breaker in/ on the switch, and this wire supplies ONLY the headlights section of the switch which is SEVERAL switches in one box

B2 is fused from the fuse box, is always hot, and supplies tail and park, and dash lights

H runs directly to the dimmer switch, is the "headlights" output

Again, "R" goes to park and tail lamps

D is the GROUND circuit for the dome lights. The way they work, the door switches, and the D switch on the light switch are all hooked together. If any of them are actuated, it grounds the dome lights, which are supplied power on the "other side" of the bulb

INST is the OUTPUT of the instrument lamp dimmer. This is a departure. Before this feeds the instrument lamps, it GOES TO the instrument FUSE in the box. From that fuse, it then goes to any panel lamps which are on the dimmer.

So BOTH the tail fuse AND the instrument fuse must be good before the panel lamps work
