Hey guys,
When is a 727 suppose to shift? Right now, my 727 is shifting into 2nd between 5 and 10 mph and 2nd to 3rd between 20 and 25 mph. How can I adjust the points?

Thanks...Eric

I personally never liked the Lokar cable set up and went back to my factory rods.

You can only adjust the lkar for full kick down at full throttle because you have two opposeing forces throttle and kickdown lever on the tranny which only has so much travel.

Thats why the old factory rods have a spring and a slot so you can have say 3/4 throttle with full kickdown. Mine will shift into second around 25-30mph

don't forget though my '68 Newport with 727 only had full throttle kick down to begin with, so the locar works great. '69 or '70 was when they went to the partial throttle kick down valve body.

I have a 69 727 but it has a 73 valve body. I put a TransGo TF2 shift kit in it. It runs great, I thought it shifted a little soon.
