Ok, So I was playing with my kickdown adjustment and I confused myself.

Here is what I did.

First way I had it... Adjusted the cable with a slight gap between the lock collar and the lokar bracket at the carb. 1-2 shift was about 15mph, 2-3 shift at about 35-40mph. If I remember correctly.

Then I reread Lokar's directions and adjusted it there way. WOT, pulled cable tight and set the lock collar. Gas pedal was a lot harder to push and reach WOT compared to the first way. the 1-2 shift was now about 35-40mph and the 2-3 was about 55-60mph. It was also a super hard head jerking 1-2 shift.

The trans only has about 500 miles on it and was gone thru by a member here that is a trans mechanic. He added a shift kit and fixed a few other issues with it. So what is your guys opinions on this?

Not many people are capable of adjusting thier own shifts.
(You are now)
Adjust it how you like it.
Just so you know, they shifted into second about 10mph or less and third between 20-25 when stock. (they were real soft)
Mine is ajusted to 1-2 shift at 20 or so, and the 2-3 at about 35 under easy cruise conditions.
I did modify the valvebody a little with slightly bigger oil flow for the second and third apply firmness.

I've been doing the same thing on mine. Re read the instructions and did it that way and it shifts about 10-15 and 30-35 now. Not sure what the trans end looks like or what adjustments are down there (bought the car with the cable already installed), but it seems much better now. Before, the shifts were about the same mph wise, but were seriously firm (like chirp the tires firm on the 1-2). Drives much nicer now.

I adjusted mine according to their instructions and it shifts perfect but each trans. is different (especially if their modified with a shift kit) and will require playing with the adjustment to get it where you like it. I always start of adjusting it according to their instructions then if need be back it off a little at a time to get it where I like it.

Awesome! I was just worried that it would be "to soft" and hurt the trans.

If you can feel it shift at low throttle, it can't be low enough to hurt it.
At light throttle I can barely feel the 2-3 shift, but under heavy throttle it's a little more solid than stock.
