I have a very straight/clean 68' Valiant 100 /6. I plan to drive it as is for a while then build a low budget sleeper.
I plan to swap to an 8 3/4 rear, manual disc front, big bolt pattern. I am getting a 318/904 combo for free, so I need a V8 k-member.
I need to know from you guys... what makes/models years will interchange with my 68'Valiant.
TIA
Bill

Any V8 K frame from 68-76 will work if you go that route. 73-76 have the nicer style spool engine mounts. If the 318/904 has the mounts on it, see which style: biscuit or Spool. Get0 the K for that style.

If you don't want to do a K frame swap, trans-dapt and shumaker make conversion mounts to use your existing K frame. I think the transdapt one only work with a biscuit style motor mount.

Use an 8 3/4 rearend out of a 65-67 B-body. It's already big bolt pattern to match your disc brake set-up(assuming you will be using the single piston caliper set-up off of a 73-76 A-body), it'll drop right in and is much easier to find than the elusive A-body housing, you,ll have to change the left handed studs in the driver side axle to right handed(easy as pie though).
