saw your garage pics somewhere and can't find again= - please tell me where to look - I saw something very informative on your engine pics. thnx

no, thnks anyway it was 383 and light green/mint - I like that one though

I think it's mine.
You and I have conversed a number of times in the garage pics.
It's currently 7th on the list under "Most liked" tab in garage photos.

yes, thaks very much - could not find it again to save my skin. Needed another peek at that throttle return spring bracket - I want to try that one on mine because it looks like it will work with the aftermarket manifold (I think). Worth a shot. Actually just happy to eyeball your beautiful car one more time!

that is loaded with great information. thnx for posting it. A question on my block is the location where this spring bracket leg goes. On mine, the neg. cable is attached there with a bolt that goes well into the block - it's wet with oil when I remove it. Why it's that way instead of having a shallow bottom I do not know. So no way that bracket is going to work the same way for me.

I wonder if a bolt was broke off in the hole at some point, and previous owner drilled all the way through the head to remove it?
Should be a shallow threaded pocket to bolt a/c mounting bracket.
You could still get the right bracket, then just remove the front tab so it doesn't go in the threaded hole.

yes I have one and can play around with it..as far as the hole goes yea, as my mechanic likes to remind me, a lot happens to these over the last 50 years..

Have you looked at the big block A/C version of the throttle return spring bracket for 68?
Noticed it when I purchased correct one for a non A/C car, and it looks like maybe it would work since it doesn't have the tab in front.
Just a thought.

yes I saw this - it will a look a little more stock/original - maybe we'll try.
