Hey all! Just wondering if my old 340 sport is still out there!? Would love to see it or even get it back. Sold it in around 2000 to a guy that ran a dealership in Rogers Mn called Freeway motors. He thought it may have gone to Kentucky? It was an orig copper but I had it painted strato yellow with the blackout treatment like a duster with the 340 wedge decal on the hood. VIN is LM29H3G222830. I'll get some pics of it up as well. Thanks!

Here’s a few pics

Happy to say after a couple days Wes on Facebook page " Lost Muscle cars" was able to find it and sent me a current picture of it! Other than the wheels being changed out to some DAISY style mags and painting the grill body color (why!?) it looks the same. Waiting to see if the owner is wiling to chat. Hope he will at least fill me in on its history and possibly get it back.

Wow that was fast! Congrats on finding your old car
Thanks! I was shocked he found it so fast I have posted it all over on FB and A body sites and it never turned up. I will share current pics once I chat with the owner. Hopefully soon!

This is the only picture I have so far. Other than the grille being painted body color (why!?) and the wheels being changed it looks pretty much the same. I see something going on with the lower part of the fender and on the rocker. Hopefully I’ll get to speak with the current owner about it soon. Wes and I have not heard anything from them yet so who knows.

That's cool that it's still out there roaming the streets. Glad you found it.
Yes I am glad to know it is still around! Still have not heard anything from the owner so who knows if I will or when, but I would love to talk with them. I would love to get it back, but at be able to give them some background on it if they wanted. I owned it for ten years.

that's a sharp car...hope you can get it back. That grille is hideous for sure.

Cool, hopefully you get to speak with the owner. Many times past owners just want to see it know if the car still exists. Sometimes it’s a sad ending finding out a car was wrecked or scrapped…but many times the car pops up and it’s offered for sale back to the original owner! Wes is a friend of mine and known him for years….it’s a passion of his to locates these cars and info. He also has written some really good books too….check him out on FB…Lost Muscle Cars

having the original VIN number helps Wes the most….pictures also do. On his site, people have posted just info or maybe one old picture…and just from people on the web cars are still found that way…pretty cool! There are lots of awesome stores on his FB page and YouTube channel.

Yeah I’m friends with him in facebook and have met him a few times! Super guy and bought a couple of his books too.
I hope to hear something from him or the owners soon.
I love his page in facebook and it always amazes me how many times people are reunited with their old cars, or get to at least know what happened to them.

Hey, I just noticed the 69 swinger stripe on your 71 ?
That looks really good
It’s actually a 72 but same thing basically of course. lol. My buddy built the car years ago. It’s got a 440-727 with p/s a/c and p/b. I sold it a few years ago. It’s in Wisconsin now.

From land of lakes to land of CHEESEHEADS lol
I bet that was a fun car to own.
