Thats exactly what im looking for!!

Im concerned about how a person hangs 800 Lbs of vibrating weight that wants to tear its self out of the car with solid mounts, while sleeping good?

I don’t really like the 1/4 inch motor plate in my black Duster but it has been in there forever. I bought one of Andy’s thicker plates from him a couple of years ago but never installed it yet. Hopefully after I pull the engine to freshen this winter. I also bought a new plate from Andy for my green 1974 Duster to use if I ever put my mega block 512 in it.

Usually, with a front engine plate, there is a mid plate between the engine and trans. And I always run limiters.

No mid plate , didn't figure I needed one , after my ex partner and a friend of his , ran LOW 9 SECOND duster for years w/o one .

I'm glad this question came up. I've been trying to figure out if I'll incorporate an upper mounting point to the front motor plate in my 66 Dart. I've been mulling over two options. (1) Trim the plate down like on the right side of the photo below and just rely on the lower mount, or (2) Build an upper mount to strengthen the mount similar to something like on the left below.

I'm sure the double mount would be stronger, but I've seen some FAST cars using a single mount like the right side of the photo.

We run midplates on our dirt cars with solid mounts on the engine. Never a trans mount as they just break transmission cases.
