Been looking for a long time, and finally found a nice place in Oregon. Flew up last week to look at it, made an offer on Friday, flew home, and got a call Sunday night that they had accepted our offer.
13 miles south of Lakeview, it's a 1920 farm house, totally remodeled and updated, all new inside, on a beautiful 4 acre lot.
Won't be moving till spring/summer, but so excited to finally get something. Just posted a few pics in the "Random pics" thread.

Are you going to have to change your screen name to "Slightly Less Than Mile High Dart" as a result of the move?

No I think I'll hang on to my screen name.
Lakeview, which is billed as the highest town in Oregon is at 4803' and by my figuring that's still about 7/8ths of a mile high....lol

Very cool lookin place. I love the surrounding view.

One of the best things is that those mountains right behind the property are all national forest. There is a road running right past the property that goes right up into that little gap in the mountains that you can see one of the pics. So basically national forest access about 1/4 mile from the house.

Congrats, I just was told I am moving to Vero Beach, whether I want to or not. Is there not a plan “B”, apparently not!

Congratulations! What kind of money {just ballpark} does something like that go for in Oregon. Here in Maine my wife and I have been looking for over 2 yrs. for a simple home around $200,000. Was having trouble finding much, then this "SCAMDEMIC" hit, and we can't touch anything! Good luck with your move!

I'll bet I know which house you bought. Lakeview is a great place and if you like solidarity you will enjoy it. It is a spectacular bird viewing area. Did you ever take the drive out 140 East to Adel and check out Plush/Hart Mountain?

My good friend owned the Hunter's HotSprings Resort North of town when it was fully functional. Also make sure to take a ride up to Grizzly Peak once the snow is gone.

Our first couple trips up there we came in on 140 from the east, very nice out that way. We will have lots of exploring to do in our new location.

It was listed at $255K We paid a little more cause the house already had two bids on it. No way to know what the other bids were, but we really wanted this place.
