has anyone used a low tension ring package on a strip/street car

reassembling a proven package and looking to pick a few ponies

my machinist has a excellent finish hone
just looking for someone with some experince with them

did your machinist hone for standard cast ring or moly ring?Just kinda wondering why didnt you ask your machinist that same question?What ring package are you looking at also 1/16,1/16 and 3mm or .043,.043 and 3mm or 1.5,1.5 and 3mm or something else?just a thought.
 
looking at the 1/16 , 1/16, 3/16
talking to my machinest, just asking if anyone has any experience

kb190s which i like have the 5/64 ring grove
researching which other pistions are close to te 190s

thinking that there might me a advantage to running the smaller rings
 
I ran a 440 with a 1/16 ring package on the street also and no problems pump gas motor with Ross pistons and ran 10.90's all day in the heat
 
I've seen it done, but not on anything that had a lot of miles put on it. Didn't seem to have any issues.
 
going with the kb190s and using the totalseal rings ml9090
which is a 16lbs ring / standard rings are 22 lbs
i'll let you guys know if this was a mistake on a street engine
