Lower back seat question

I only know because I tried. Haha. I got a great deal on a fresh upholstered FB interior. Couldn’t turn down the deal even though I didnt have the car. I figure I’ll build a fastback soon enough and I’ve got the space. But I did throw it in there to see and it was too narrow
 
The reason I asked was a guy on another site was looking form back seats for a 67 knotchback and I was positive that someone on here would know, there is a lot of knowledge on here.
