Lowering because of heavy duty springs

I bought MREP4510268-2 heavy duty springs from Mancini and the Duster rides amazing. Much stiffer. Better than some new cars.
But I am worried about the pinion angle. The springs raised the Duster 1“.

Will 1“ lowering block solve this problem?

Installed 1“ lowering blocks.
I like that look more.
But installing those was a real pain in the ***..
Did not fit properly.

Have you actually checked the pinion angle to see if it out of spec? If you want to lower it some, get a pair of reversed front spring hangers.

I wouldn’t be surprised if you’re taking them out in a few months time. I bought the same springs and when new, had to raise my front spring mounts to get the car down to a reasonable ride height. 12 months on and with the springs well and truly settled I’ve just gone back down to the original front mounting holes to raise the rearend back up.

I heard that from somebody else too. Those springs are almost two years installed.

Sorry for not replying sooner but I am very busy at the moment. I drove the Duster for a while now and I think it got slightly better.
You guys could be right.
I will check the angles asap. But I am curios now where those numbers should be since I read something from Bbodiesonly.
I always thought pinion angle and tranny angle should point in the opposite direction not in the same.

The 1inch spacers you said didn't fit properly? Can tell me what was the problem? I plan on using the same spacers for my car.

The diameter of the hole and the „nipple“ are too big so they won’t fit properly. I drilled a hole and pressed a tube in to decrease the diameter. To make those fit the shock plates I welded a screw on the tube to replace the nipple.

DO NOT use the aluminum blocks, eventually the pin will wear away or shear off. As stated earlier, check the pinion angle and see what it is. The springs will settle some as you drive the car.

Transmission angle 1 degree up and rear axle 1 degree down.

But my transmission mount is off (pic 3).

Pinion (rear axle) should be pointed down at least a few more degrees with leaf springs. Definitely get a new trans mount in there when you're able. Ideally you want 5-10 deg down at the pinion (with leaf springs) and 2-3 down at the trans iirc, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Tbh if you don't notice any vibrations/harmonics from the driveline at higher speeds like above 60-70mph it's probably fine.

So I try one of those 4 degree pinion angle shims. I do have vibrations at higher speed and I am chasing those since forever.
A new tranny mount looks the same shortly.
Tried one of those polyurethane mounts and those vibrations got way worse.

Is there a difference between the pinion angle of an A-Body and an E-Body? My 8 3/4 is out of a Challenger. I kept the angle of the original ones when I welded the perches to A-Body specs.

Added those 4 degree shims. Much smoother at higher speed. Guess it’s gonna be perfect when engine and transmission line up straight…
