Just wanted to hear some opinions of what people think about Lucas Oil Stabilizer. I understand opinions will differ, but why ask if i didn't want to hear them all. I have had success with it, as it has boosted oil pressure 10-15 lbs when i have used it on occassion and it quiets the motor as well somewhat. It is the only additive other than cam break in lube that i would ever use for anything. i don;t like the gimmicks with the other garbage.
Any one else with experience with this additive? Thanks.

Yes, it is truly a new engine in a bottle. Makes you wonder why people rebuild anymore now that such products are available.

Thickening your oil is not a good idea.

I have had a good experience with it. I used it in a derby car one time, it had a blown head gasket ( mixin water with oil ). I drained the coolant and used that (K+W block sealer). and a bottle of lucas in the oil. head gasket sealed and the motor stayed running.
But no I would NOT use it in a driver or new motor, the **** is thicker than molasses!

ALL it did was make your oil 50 weight or maybe 80 weight.

I know some guys run the half quart of it with changes. I would rather do it as an additive rather than trying to bandaid a dead motor. My engine was 50psi at cold idle with 15w-40. Wasn't good enough for me because it got worse with heat and rpm. Tore mine apart, had debris in the screen (rtv), and i bumped the relief valve spring and i picked up 25psi across the board :D
