M/T 26 x 8.5 R15 sportsman pro rear use?

hi folks,

maybe a dumb question:

i can get a pair of Mickey Thompson Sportsman pro sized 26 x 8.5 R15 for cheap.

as far as i know these tires are sold by M/T as Front Runners.

cld. i also use them on the back ? :burnout: or would it be better doing this not

are you sure about the size? They don´t even list this size in sportsman pro......

if you have this size, i´m sure you can use it as a rear tire. Should have dimension like a 235/60-15 or 24/60-15. I use 26x8x15 rear slicks at the track, seems kinda small but it´s ok if you have some kind of "street gears".....

hi Michael, just got new pics from Thomas (32Hotrod in German Mopar Forum) there are not "pro" just normal Sportsman :wack: and as far as i have learned in the meantime, they are only for use as front tires :banghead:

26x8.5 tire is used in Outlaw 8.5 heads up racing..... At least the M/T and Goodyear radial.

Timo, the tire you're speaking of is a front only tire.....And it's not made for bite at all. Plus there shouldn't be a "R" involved in the size, as they are bias ply tires.

It's nothing but a tall tire for someone using a larger than 3.5/4" rim.
