Alright FABO, I've been doing a bunch of searching on this site and Google. This seems to be one of those cases where the more I research, the more conflicting info I get.

I need motor mounts & brackets for a Magnum 360. 465 HP & 494 ft/lbs torque.
Mating to a QA1 K member. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Here is the K member.

I can see that I'll need biscuit style mounts, but I've seen some different materials and price points. From what I have read, stay away from solid (too much vibration). But, then I read guys saying urethane has been great for them and guys saying urethane is garbage, rubber is too soft for torque.

@RustyRatRod had presented these a few months ago...

These are on the Summit site...

Then there's the brackets...

@black954 had posted that he used his 340 mounts on a Magnum 360

Can someone please straighten this out for me?
Is anyone out there running a Magnum 360 on a QA1 K member?

Thanks y'all.

That Moroso engine Mount fits nothing I know of. What you want is the Moroso part number 62540. That’s all I use unless I get stuck with the dread spool mounts. For the block you should be able to find some 340-360 drivers side mounts and any other small block passenger side will fit. That’s IIRC. I’m sure on the Moroso part number.

You just need some factory 67-72 A-body 340-360 biscuit style mounting brackets and then some 67-72 A-body biscuits. Can use 273-318 brackets with a 1/4" spacer on the drivers mount. B/E brackets might work with that QA1 frame. Looks like it has the bolt holes for those but you might call QA1 to find out for sure.
As you've seen the Magnum blocks have the ears for the LA brackets.
I have a Magnum in my Dart with a 73 LA spool type frame using LA brackets.

Okay, thank you for that. I was kinda thinking that I could possibly use A, B, or E body mounts since the K member is aftermarket.
As for calling QA1... I'd get better advice from my 3 year old. I've called their "tech" dept for clarification on 2 other issues and have gotten the standard "I'm not sure, I've never had that question before" answer both times.
Thanks for your input.

Are those towers totally boxes in or are they open on the side so you can get a nut in there. I've used a QA1 frame on E bodies but not A body.

Sorry, had to take a quick adjournment to put my 10 month old to sleep.
So, the mounting holes on my K member are much more oblong than the QA1 website pic that I posted earlier. Makes me wonder if I could use more than the A body biscuit mounts. They are NOT fully boxed, the back side is completely open.

I bought a $5 biscuit mount, cut one of the bolts off and drilled through it. I put a carriage bolt in the hole I drilled so it goes all the way through the mount tacked the head with a welder.

Cheap unbreakable motor mount, hillbilly style. Still sits on rubber so it didn’t vibrate much. Bolt goes all the way through so it can’t break.

Interesting idea. So, the bolt that goes through the biscuit is the one that attaches to the mounting bracket for the engine? The bolt that attaches the biscuit to the K member is a unchanged.

I think you could do it either way. The head on the carriage bolt raises the mount a little unless you can make a clearance for it. You could do that on the engine side if you are really picky.

Ok, that makes sense. Thanks for this info.

I use a pair of rubber biscuit mounts and a Schumacher torque tube to help them survive. So far the set-up has lasted well. The Schumacher poly mounts made my dash vibrate and rattle too much.

Okay I was wondering about the first K frame. That one looks like a B/E frame. The one you have is an A body one and only takes the A body biscuits. The B/E biscuits won't work with yours. Also get the A body brackets.
