I'm having a problem with the 1-piece Magnum oil pan gasket sealing to the timing cover.
I could fill the void with silicone sealer, I try to use as little as needed.
We run a Magnum truck pan "rear sump" on a stock eliminator car.
It doesn't seem to have enough crush to seal, the back seals fine.
Suggestions?

If you're running a 340 motor, try and find a 318 truck pan instead. 360 will need a 360 truck pan. Both have big rear sumps, so they may or may not work in your setup. I'd say Moroso makes a stock type rear sump pan for a 318 or 360 if you're looking for new. Good luck.

Using a 360, the Magnum pan uses the 360 sized end seals.
The Magnum 5.2 also uses the 360 end seals.

Yep, you said you're using an LA block....so that's why I suggested pans from LA truck motors. As I'm sure you know, 318 and 360 pans are different sizes in the rear main cap area. Timing cover end is the same between the two. Any 360 truck pan from 72-91 will have a rear sump. Get a 360 pan gasket that is three piece LA version and you should be good to go.

Cut the magnum one piece gasket up front where it mates to the old style rubber seal up front. Works great and you only need a small amount of rtv where the two seals meet.

The LA truck pan will not fit in the car chassis, the Magnum does.
