I am having a hell of a time getting my manifolds off, i gave up today cause i was getting too worked up. Im positive i have all the nuts off, i have 12 and the manifold connector bolts out and the damn things hardly wiggle and ive been beating on em for a while. Looking for suggestions or a solution. Got frustrated and jacked a screwdriver in there to separate from the head haha so it has to cone off now.

There are 14 fasteners. Also, it works a LOT better if you remove the three fasteners holding the two manifolds together.

Only removing 12 of 14 fasteners could be the reason the manifolds won't come off.

Seriously, I think you'll find the two missing fasteners on the bottom row in the middle. Hard to see and to get to.

Actually very easy to get to. You just need the right tools.

Go over to mymopar.com and look in the service manual downloads and download the 65 Plymouth service manual. That's the closest they have and it will be about the same. They outline the manifold attaching hardware, I believe with a diagram. Nowhere in the manual will you find the procedure of jamming a screwdriver between the manifolds and head to get them off.

Yeah that's what I did. You're right, it's 13. So he only has one somewhere.

I got those 3 and 12 bolts out, you have any pictures of some if the bolts i could be missing im gling nuts i swear i got em all
You didn't. I was wrong though. There's only one left, not two. I accidentally counted one of the thermostat housing bolt holes, so there are only 13 on the head.

haha i know it was stupid

Don't forget the torque spec on those nuts is only 10 foot pounds.

There are seven studs on top and six on the bottom. The tops are no-brainers, you can see them. You are probably missing one of the lower ones and likely in the middle. They are a bit of a booger to access. It takes a socket with a universal joint and an extension to reach them. I have to do them by braille to get them out.

Also, that intake/exhaust is very heavy, right at fifty pounds. If you don't have a helper to support the weight it can bind on the last nut or two. I leave the upper center nut in place till all the others are off so it holds it in place, then remove that last nut.

Using your cell upside down to take a video of the lower bolts should show you where the last one is hiding.

thank you much.

I know that's what the manual says, but I do 20-25 foot pounds or so, as 10 doesn't seem to be enough. Haven't broken anything yet. I do at least have the correct bolts and nuts, including the bronze (?) end washers and the special nuts that fit into them, which allow the manifold to grow and shrink a bit as they heat up and cool.

Its been a LONG while since I R&Rd a set of /6 manifolds in a car, the last couple of times have been trucks, at least I can still get in there where I can see... roomier than any of the cars besides a C body...of which not many got slants haha
the last time I did a set in a car was in a junkyard, a 76/77 aspen to get the xhaust manifold that's currently in my 85 truck....while the engine that's in in there was still on a stand. and being a bright sunny day, on a car that was missing its hood.... I don't remember having much problem getting to all of them on that F body....
