They are weaker than the original (unless your talkin maybe the full size 70's or earlier jeeps and I am sure those were some sorta wierd bastard AMC trans although I know less about those years so I might just be blowin hot air then) 4 speed ma mopar put in her vehicles (especially the peugot, what a piece of crap, as a matter of fact if you wanna try it I have a peugot 5 speed from an 87 cherokee, yours for shipping and $5 bucks handling). I own jeeps and have been a member of O.R.C.'s mid size jeep BBS for 3 years or so, in case you wonder why I think I know what I am yakking about
